This textile course will take you from East to West, using techniques that are centuries old %E2%80" such as screen printing and then bringing you right up to date with digital printing and laser cutting. You will create a collection of innovative samples that will be an impressive addition to your portfolio.

Nesrin Trkmen is an Associate Professor at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University, Department of Textiles and Fashion Design. She graduated from the same department with sufficiency in Arts degree. Currently she runs courses on "Printing Design"; "Printing Tec

Target group
No experience of digital design software packages or knit is required to attend this course; however you will be expected to develop your own designs and patterns so some design experience will be useful.

Course aim
On this course you will be introduced to digital print and laser surface patterning and embellishment as well as hand and machine knit - you will have an opportunity to create a variety of different samples using a blend of techniques combining different 3D and surface patterning elements in order to create something unique to you.
