In this jewellery design course we will take the Big Bang theory as the starting-point for our own visions, to be materialised in various (jewellery) objects.The Big Bang refers to the origin of the universe. According to this theory, matter, space and time are compressed in a single point of infinite density, which expands in all directions, producing what we know as our universe. The current level of knowledge is that everything that exists %E2%80" including ourselves %E2%80" is a fragment of the unity which exploded, and which had somehow always been there.Participants' work should express their own relation to the beginning of the universe. Particular attention will be paid to fine-tuning certain jewellery-making techniques which will enable participants to convey their message precisely. Individual advice will be given, and ideas exchanged in group discussions.
