The international workshop - summer school will involve students and young professionals working together on the Versilia area, for two weeks-full immersion teamwork. Special attention will be set to public spaces, which actually show a deep formal and substantial crisis of identity.The focal point of this international workshop - summer school will be the regeneration of the area, breaking through the traditional models, by using recycled material and self-construction.The international workshop - summer school is organized in collaboration with the Municipality of Pietrasanta, the Visual Arts Center (CAV) of Pietrasanta and the art studio "2 Luoghi", and with the contribution of the Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Lucca.

Target group
The international workshop - summer school is oriented to students in Architecture, Urban planning, Design, Building engineering, Art Schools, and also to young professionals and artists from all EU and non EU countries.

Course aim
The objective of the international workshop - summer school is to develop hypothesis for the urban regeneration of the "Due Laghi" artisan area in Pietrasanta through architecture, arts and self-construction in order to support its re-appropriation from a physical, social and economic point of view.

Fee info
EUR 600: This fee includes accommodation, breakfasts, lunches and teaching materials. EUR 350: This fee includes lunches and teaching materials.
