In multidisciplinary sessions, basically and clinically oriented lecturers will address relevant established and emerging topics by means of a bi-directional bench-bedside approach. Target group
The summer school is targeted at national and international undergraduate, PhD and post-doc students (maximum number 50) in Medicine and Life Sciences, with a specific interest in the cardiovascular field. 7 ECTS will be acknowledged to the participants, after passing a final written test.

Course aim
-To provide state-of-the-art and cutting-edge developments in knowledge and clinical approach to cardiovascular disease - Participants will become familiar with different research approaches to cardiovascular pathophysiology and disease, and will be able to integrate and critically evaluate research reported in literature and its translation to the clinical field- Live demonstrations will provide an overview on various up-to-date techniques for cardiovascular investigation in the clinical research setting

Credits info
7 ECTS The program will consist of lectures, journal clubs and hands-on-sessions on new technologies for clinical research. The course will be held by high profile lecturers from the University of Pisa, Scuola Superiore S.Anna, National Research Council (CNR), Tuscan Foundation for Medical Research, and distinguished experts from other Italian and European Universities. A joint session on vascular pathophysiology and disease in collaboration with the University of Angers and the CHU d'Angers, Laboratoire d'Explorations Fonctionnelles Vasculaires, will be also part of the program
