COFERINTA - STRENGTHENING COOPERATION TOWARDS A KNOWLEDGE-BASED SOCIETY IN CEI REGION

In accordance with the Moldovan Presidency Calendar, the Academy of Sciences of Moldova will organize an International Conference on "Strengthening Cooperation towards a Knowledge-based Society in Central European Initiative Region" on 24th of October, 2008, in Chisinau, Republic of Moldova. The Conference will be organized with the participation of the CEI Networks of Focal Points on Science & Technology and those on Information Society. The Conference is also open for participation to all interested people. This event has a major importance for enhancing the cooperation activities in the CEI region and could provide a platform for launching concrete actions relevant for the core to be debated:Role of CEI in Promoting Development of Knowledge-based Society in the Region;Identifying New Forms of Cooperation in the S&T;EU Seventh Framework Programme (FP7) – Opportunity to Improve International Cooperation in Science & Technology and Information Society.The organizing committee will cover the following expenses: meals during the conference day, a set of conference materials, and ground transportation between Chisinau Airport and the hotel on arrival and departure.
