The international law school `Law Is Better Than War!` is a traditional and well known event, being the only event of its kind from Romania until present. ELSA Bucharest is at the fifth edition of this event, having a new theme to pursue the ones from the past:

`International Tribunals and International Humanitarian Law`

`Protection of Civilians during Armed Conflicts

`Means and Methods of War

`Human Rights in times of Terrorism

The School`s activity is structured in 10 days, in which the participants will attend classes, workshops, a moot court competition and a tour of the European Culture Capital – SIBIU 2007.

The Human Rights Day (December 10th) will be celebrated with a projection of documentary movies about the Human Rights.

The School aims to increase the awareness level and encourage the students to be more concerned about the national and non-national armed conflicts, and to increase knowledge in the field of International Humanitarian Law and subsidiary, of Human Rights and International Public Law.

The participation Fee includes: Accommodation, Meals, Courses, Trip and Human Rights Event:

ELSA Members from favoured countries: 21 Euros/day

ELSA Members from non-favoured countries: 26 Euros/day

ELSA Alumni: 31 Euros/day

Non-ELSA Member: 36 Euros/day

Non-Student: 36 Euros/day

Registration Deadline : 1.11.2007

Payment : will be made within 2 weeks after sending the Aplication Form and receiving the participation confirmation. A sum of 100 Euros will be transferred in the account: RO92RNCB0090000536080002 . The rest of the sum will be paid at arrival. In case a student does not continue the procedure, resulting in not participating, money will not be reimbursed.
