Dates for Summer School 2008:
Session 1: 7 July - 25 July
Session 2: 28 July - 15 August


In 2007 nearly 3000 students from over 100 countries gathered at the London School of Economics Summer School and chose from more than 50 courses in the areas of Accounting and Finance, Economics, International Relations, Government and Society, Law and Management. Taught by some of the world's leading academics, the Summer School offers high quality teaching, a stimulating environment and the opportunity to meet with people from all continents.


New Teaching Programme for 2008:
The programme is now available online and we have begun accepting applications. Following the success of the 2007 programme, we are delighted to announce new courses in Advanced Corporate Finance, Behaviour in Organisations, Research Methods and Anthropology.


The Summer School is a university-level programme, and is suitable for both university students and professionals. Students who are about to start a university course may also apply, provided they have been offered a place at an institution.
The programme welcomes applicants from all nationalities: in 2007 we had students from over 100 countries.


Accommodation for the 2008 programme
The LSE has arranged for a limited number of places to be reserved for Summer School participants at the following LSE Halls of Residence:


* Bankside Residence
* Grosvenor House
* High Holborn Residence
* Northumberland House
* Rosebery Avenue: Myddelton Annex
* Rosebery Avenue Hall


Tuition Fees:


The tuition fees for the 2008 programme are:


* Reduced Student Fees: L1, 125 for one session or L1,900 for two sessions. This rate applies to all full time students who are currently enrolled at a University or College anywhere in the world.
* Standard Rate Fees: L1,450 for one session or L2,500 for two sessions.
* For those returning to the Summer School or LSE alumni, a 10% discount is offered.


A Tuition Fee Invoice and a Payment Form will be emailed and posted to you once you have been accepted to the programme. The full tuition fee is payable once the formal offer has been made. Please note that the LSE can only receive payments in UK sterling. You may pay by the following methods:


* Online payment a you will be shown a link to the online payment facility on your invoice through which you can make a credit card payment. This method is strongly recommended. Please note that LSE does not accept American Express or Diners Club.
* Credit/Debit Card payment a you should complete the Payment Form with your Credit/Debit Card details and return this by fax or post to the LSE Finance Division.
* UK Sterling Cheque a this should be sent with your payment form to the LSE Finance Division.
* UK Sterling Bankeras Draft - this should be sent with your payment form to the LSE Finance Division.
