The Center for Quantum Devices at the Niels Bohr Institute, University of Copenhagen, announces the opening of a PhD position to develop spin qubits in Ge/Si nanowires and related heterostructured semiconductors.
The position
The position is expected to begin on July 1st 2014, but start time is flexible.
The position is for three or four years and expected to lead to a Ph.D. degree at the University of Copenhagen. The University of Copenhagen is oldest university in Denmark founded in 1479. With its approximately 37000 students and 7500 employees, this is the largest university in the Nordic area and the only Nordic university on the world top 100.
Terms of appointment and payment
Salary, pension and terms of employment are in accordance with the agreement between the Ministry of Finance and The Academics Central organization. The salary depends on seniority, as agreed between the Ministry of Finance and the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations. Currently, starting salaries are about 25,000 DKK (Euro 3,330) per month for Ph.D. students - plus pension.
