A 3-year full-time position as Service Scientist/Post Doc is available at Uni Research AS, within the Computational Biology Unit (CBU) of the Uni BCCS department.
The position is part of the CBU Service Group, and is directed towards analysis of highthroughput data from technologies such as microarrays, NGS sequencing and proteomics. The successfull applicant will have the main responsibility for the data analysis collaboration between the Service Group and the research group of Prof Helga Salvesen at Haukeland University hospital, on the project "Molecular alterations for targeted therapy in metastatic gynecologic cancer".
Uni BCCS has approximately 50 employees counting more than 17 different nationalities. CBU conducts competitive bioinformatics research and expands the interface between bioinformatics and experimental biological and biomedical research. CBU is closely linked and co-located with bioinformatics groups at the University of Bergen. The CBU Service Group coordinates the national FUGE bioinformatics platform of the Research Council of Norway, and is tightly coupled with the Norwegian Microarray Consortium (NMC).
It provides bioinformatics services to Norwegian researchers, particularly within the fields of molecular biology, biochemistry, biomedicine, and microbiology. Services offered by the group include bioinformatics consultancy, data analysis and software development. The group currently consists of two scientists and two programmers.
