The Aberystwyth University doctoral (PhD) scholarship (DCDS) scheme offers a package of funding, research, training and career development for full-time PhD students. These awards are tailored to enable students to develop the necessary skills required to meet their career choices and offer a breadth of development opportunities to enhance their research, teaching and transferable skills.
Our Ph.D funding awards are worth up to 26,590 per annum.
You could:
Have your UK/EU fees paid for three years
Receive a stipend to cover your maintenance costs.
Undertake research, training, career development initiatives and skills development in your chosen field.
Students within the scheme will make an agreed contribution to the Department and University as a condition of the PhD scholarship. Teaching is not the only option though. The career development contribution could involve research, editorial work, professional placements, or other personal development opportunities which are also of help to the Department concerned.
