The role: The successful applicant will be located in the Queensland Clinical Trials & Biostatistics Centre (QCTBC) which is a part of the Epidemiology and Biostatistics Group of the School. QCTBC conducts clinical trials and research programmes in clinical biostatistics with Australian and international academic and industry collaborations. This is an opportunity for an aspiring statistician to develop a career in clinical trials and clinical biostatistics. This position is available for a period of three years, and likely to be continued, depending upon funding. The Appointee will contribute to applied and methodological biostatistical research, and will be responsible for providing biostatistical consulting to clinical collaborators from within the University and Queensland Health. The consulting includes design of clinical studies, statistical analyses and reporting. The Appointee will be working on multiple projects with tight timelines and will be required to maintain a high level of research productivity.
Remuneration: The remuneration package will be in the range of AUD$53,780 - $72,949 (Level A ) or AUD$76,789 - $91,157 (Level B ), plus employer superannuation contributions of 17%. Level of appointment will be dependent upon qualifications, experience and academic achievements. This is a full-time and fixed-term appointment for three years at Research Academic Level A or B.
