The Anatolian Civilizations and Cultural Heritage Management Masters Program Ko University, Istanbul now accepting applications for the 2006-2007 academic year. Student fellowships are available. Application deadline: June 23, 2006 The Program: The Anatolian Civilizations and Cultural Heritage Management program is an interdisciplinary, two-year masters program whose primary goal is to provide an in-depth education in the history of art and architecture, archaeology, and cultural history of the lands that comprise present day Turkey. The program also introduces students to both the theoretical and practical aspects of museum operations and the management of cultural heritage resources. Experts in various areas of cultural heritage management and museum studies are invited as guest lecturers in the courses to expose students to a range of issues and approaches. Training in one of the languages of the Anatolian past is also provided. The ACHM Master's Program is administered by the Department of History at Koc University in Istanbul and is closely linked to the university's new Anatolian Civilizations research institute. Masters students in the ACHM program benefit from the expertise of the permanent faculty at Koc University as well as junior and senior fellows who are in residence at the Anatolian Civilizations research institute, located in the Beyoglu district of Istanbul. Note that English is the language of instruction at Ko University and non-native speakers are requested to submit TOEFL scores in addition to GRE or LES scores.
