By channelling Imperial’s interdisciplinary and pioneering research strengths across its faculties and Business School, the Institute aims to overcome scientific, technical, managerial and political obstacles to respond to global healthcare challenges. The Institute is part of Imperial’s strategy to develop solutions to global challenges by harnessing the critical mass of its multidisciplinary research expertise.
The Institute comprises a series of research centres that reflect Imperial’s commitment to improving global health by capitalising on innovation in medicine, engineering, health policy and systems, and technology to address global health challenges associated with demographic, environment, social and economic changes.
The PhD programme is open to UK/EU and overseas students. The funding is for three years and covers both fees and living expenses. Research progress is assessed each year and continuing receipt of funds will depend on satisfactory academic progress. Ideal candidates will have research interest in the following areas:
