Two research fellowships are available at InterMedia for work within the research group CHANGE. CHANGE is an interdisciplinary research group that aims to push the boundaries of design and the use of digital environments in learning and communication. CHANGE investigates learning and communication with digital representations in changing contexts, including schools, museums and workplace settings. The CHANGE group specialises in learning, cognition and design based on the social and cultural perspective.
Key sociocultural concepts form the foundation of the analyses of the relations between learning, digital representations, the social practice of use and interaction. For one of the positions, studies dealing with learning by use of digital environments in or related to educational settings will be given priority (digital environments are defined in a broad sense and can include social media, games, etc., and domains can be science, social science, project work, or art). Applicants with qualifications in both qualitative and quantitative methods are encouraged to apply. Studies on the historical development of information and communication technologies will also be of relevance for one of the positions. Here applicants can apply theoretical perspective within the domains of science and technology studies.
The positions will contribute to the CHANGE group research efforts by planning and implementing teaching activities. CHANGE is involved in national and international research projects, and the two positions will be involved in these efforts.
