The teaching staff are highly-qualified and experienced professionals selected for both academic and language teaching abilities. In addition to regular classes, round talks and symposia on various topics such as: Romanian language history, grammar, literature (classical and modern), folklore and civilization are organized. The classes in Romanian language take place in small groups and are offered for three levels: beginner, intermediate and advanced. Throughout the summer programme, sightseeing tours of the city and of the surrounding area will enable the participants to familiarize themselves with the region. You should not miss the remains of the ancient Greek city of Histria, or the Roman fortress of Adamclisi and the monument which celebrates the Roman rule in this area. You also have the rare opportunity to visit the Danube Delta, coined as the natural paradise of Europe a boat tour of the canals and lakes will convince you of the fact that natural paradise is not an advertisement item, but mere reality. Humanities at the Beginning of the Millennium You can be among the participants in the second edition of the international colloquium Humanities at the Beginning of the Millennium. The theme of this year is The Image of the Body and the Body of the Image. The symposium will be attended by number of academics and researchers from Romania and from abroad. The summer programme is open to foreign citizens, students or graduates, interested in Romanian culture. There are no restrictions of any kind.
