The University of Glasgow has published the latest phase of its strategic development in its plan Glasgow 2020: A Global Vision. This plan sets out the vision of the University to enhance its position as one of the world’s great, broad based, research intensive universities.

As part of this strategy, University is undertaking the second phase of its on-going major programme of investment in the Glasgow Business School, to enhance its international standing in research and teaching and to encourage collaboration and multi-disciplinarity.

Accounting & Finance – a broad-based discipline, with research strengths in finance, management accounting and financial accounting. The discipline was ranked in the 2008 Research Assessment Exercise as the top Scottish Accounting & Finance submission and 5th in the UK. 80% of its research activity was judged to be of international quality with 10% rated as world-leading.

Salary: Grade 7 £31,671 – £35,646 / Grade 8 £38,951 – £45,155 per annum

You will undertake high quality research in the area of Finance, Management Accounting, or Financial Accounting, publish in high impact journals and undertake teaching and administration as required.
