The Department of Immunology of the CRP-Sant in Luxembourg offers one research position to a Ph.D. student in Psychoimmunology

We seek highly motivated applicants who enjoy working in a stimulating and international environment. A strong academic record and a keen interest / knowledge in psychoimmunology or in a relevant area or related fields are essential.

Main activities:
- Conduct his/her research project under the best possible conditions
- Carry out his/her PhD in accordance with the conditions agreed between the university and the laboratory
- Work with a researcher who has set up a research project and participate in the drafting of scientific articles about the ongoing project
- Scientific writing
- Carry out experiments in the laboratory
- State-of-the-art documentation of experiments, procedures and results, participation at internal meetings of the Department
- Develop a scientific methodology and techniques adapted to the research project
- Present the work as well as results during laboratory meetings and at international meetings
- Communicate problems and suggestions for possible solutions in a clear way



Scientific competence, work experience and diploma:
- Preparation of a PhD in Science
- Rigor, motivation, scientific creativity and originality, writing skills, conciseness, sense of priority and sense of human relations, time management
- A strong academic record and a keen interest/knowledge in virology and molecular biology of viruses is essential
- Languages: fluent command of English (writing and communication is a must), knowledge of another language of the European Union is an asset
- Knowledge of modern communication and computing skills
- Punctual and reliable
Our Institute is well funded and fully equipped with top-of–the line instrumentation.

The student will receive a working contract funded by a Luxemburg’s AFR fellowship. The student is expected to participate in the preparation of this proposal. The next submission deadline is 22.3.2011. It is possible that the student starts earlier in the lab.
