The University of Luxembourg seeks to hire outstanding researchers at its Interdisciplinary Centre for Security, Reliability and Trust (SnT). SnT is a recently formed centre carrying out interdisciplinary research in secure, reliable and trustworthy ICT (Information and Communication Technologies) systems and services, often in collaboration with industrial, governmental or international partners.
SnT is active in several international research projects funded by the EU 7th framework programme and the European Space Agency. PhD candidate in privacy-preserving recommender systems (M/F)
- 3 years fixed-term contract, full-time (40 hours/week)
Your Role
The PhD topic is related to investigate the privacy issues in recommender systems and propose efficient and secure mechanisms to achieve the maximum privacy. In more detail, the candidate is expected to design new privacy-preserving recommender systems for both horizontally and vertically partitioned dataset, prove their privacy properties, and study their asymptotical performances.
