The Human Centered - Computing Group at the Department of Computer Science (DIKU), University of Copenhagen, Denmark invites applications for a PhD scholarship within Computer - Supported Cooperative Work.

The PhD student will be working with the project CITH - Co-constructing IT and Healthcare, which is funded by the Danish Strategic Research Council. The CITH project designs, develops and tests IT applications to support collaboration and communication among electrophysiological specialists, cardiologists, lab technicians and chronic heart patients with an implanted ICD (Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator).

CITH is a collaboration between the University of Copenhagen, the Technical University of Denmark, Copenhagen Business School, the IT University of Copenhagen and Copenhagen University Hospital (Rigshospitalet). The PhD project will focus on the organizational implementation, evaluation and use of a pilot system designed by the project and developed by the IT company Logica.

The PhD project will mainly be carried out at the Department of Computer Science, University of Copenhagen, under the supervision of Professor Jrgen Bansler. The salary and appointment terms are according to the current agreement for PhD students. The appointment is for a period of 3 years and must lead to a dissertation.
