The University of Luxembourg is looking within its Laboratory for Photovoltaics for 2 PhD students (M/F) Financed by the Luxembourgish AFR (Aide Formation Recherche) fellowship (further information and guidelines on http://www.afr.lu) 3 year fixed-term contract, renewable one year under justified circumstances.
The Laboratory for Photovoltaics develops thin film solar cells, based on compound semiconductors.The aim of both PhD projects is to investigate the synthesis of complicated semiconductor materials using low cost electrochemical and annealing methods. The projects will involve synthesis, materials and opto-electrochemical and annealing methods. The project will involve synthesis, materials and opto-electronic characterization.

Date: 3 years, renewable one year under justified circumstances

Open to: applicants with a Masters degree in Chemistry or Physics
Profile:
- Masters degree in Chemistry or Physics with excellent grades
- Solid background in one of the following: inorganic or physical chemistry, soft condensed matter, solid state physics, solar cells
- Excellent working knowledge in English.
