Project Description - Intelligent Social Robots in Human Behavioural Analysis
The aim of this project is to develop a relatively unexplored field of research where an Ambient Intelligence (AmI) environment is integrated with intelligent social robots to support elderly and / or disabled people with their daily activities.

Based on AmI sensory devices including computer vision systems, users' behavioral patterns will be initially inferred and they will be used by a team of cooperating intelligent robots aim at preventing possible angerous situations by interacting with user or careers. The human behavioural analysis module and robot intelligence will be designed through innovative computational intelligence methodologies including TA-based Fuzzy Systems and TD Neural Networks.

This project has been selected for consideration for a fully-funded Vice-Chancellor’s PhD bursary at Nottingham Trent University, twelve PhD projects will be funded across the University in 2014.
