The division of Production Systems is a part of the Department of Product and Production Development, where main competences are in areas of design, product development and production systems. Important areas are also found in the interaction between these disciplines.
Research is aimed at addressing the needs of finished products while achieving value for the customer. The majority of research is done in collaboration with industry. The department has more than 90 employees organized into three divisions: Production Systems; Product Development; and Design & Human Factors.
