Laval University Research Centre (CHUL) is among Canada’s top biomedical academic institutes located in Quebec city, and comprises of state of the art infrastructures to drive leading research in Canada. Our Research group primarily focuses on studying brain tumors, especially glial lineage tumors, which are among the most common and top causes of cancer related deaths.

We are seeking motivated, well-organized, creative PhD students, with excellent academic standings and communication skills to join our research team. The thesis project involves discerning novel molecular pathways in brain tumor stem cells.

We are looking for someone with a prior Masters or Doctorate or Medical Degree. Someone who has experience with molecular biology skills especially DNA cloning, transfections, tissue culturing, working with mice is preferred.
In addition, applicants who have or are eligible to apply for scholarship/fellowship to support their PhD studies will be given first priority.

Start date is immediate pending evaluation of your academic credentials by Laval University’s graduate committee in Medical Sciences.
