The School of Engineering and Information Technology, Australian Defence Force Academy, and University of New South Wales are offering an exciting opportunity for a student to carry out postgraduate studies in meta-materials, leading to PhD. The project will be co-supervised by staff at Monash University (Clayton, Australia) and Australian National University (Canberra, Australia).
The research opportunity is opened to students with a broad range of backgrounds, including engineering, theoretical/experimental physics, mathematics or computer science. The successful student will be part of a team servicing the Australian Research Council funded grant “Empowering Optical Metamaterials with Gain.” Specifically, he/she will be involved in experiments and characterisation of metamaterials and metamaterial-based devices.
The successful student will be co-supervised by a world-class research team, comprising of Assoc. Prof. Malin Premaratne, Dr Ivan Rukhlenko, Prof. Chennupati Jagadish, and Dr. Haroldo Hattori.
