Postdoc fellowships will be available through a framework programme funded by EU and / National budget of Greece.( Marie-Curie type- structured).
Accordingly, research proposals will have to be submitted for evaluation by 30 Oct 2010.
Fellowship duration :24-36months
Monthly salary :1,600-1800euros( net)

Naphthalene- and Phthalazine based o-hydroxy amides and derivatives are to be prepared and corresponding amino acids thereof.
Either the non natural amino acids so prepared (directly as N termini) or the amides (through transamidation) will be used for peptide modification of selected peptide sequences. It is expected that changes in peptide conformation, like limiting flexibility and / or enhancing stability towards enzymes, will improve biological profile of the peptides (e.g. pharmacodynamics or bioavailability).
