We are looking for a few outstanding candidates for postdoctoral research positions to participate in our research program on Cyber Situational Awareness and Attack Prediction at the School of Computer Engineering, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. This is part of a major national program on cyber security.

The overall aim of our research program is to adopt a big data analytics approach to address the problem of cyber situational assessment and awarness. We want to develop techniques to fuse data from multiple sources (network traffic logs, honeynet/darknet, cyber range, Internet forums, vulnerabilities databases, prior discovered results from data mining, etc.) to provide accurate and terse summaries of attack traffic and to organize and highlight the most prominent classes of attacks.

We want to explore formal data models and approaches (description logic) to infer attacks; explore game theoretic approaches to predict attacks; explore visualization techniques to assist security analysts; explore performance optimisation techniques to deal with the volume and velocity of cyber data; and any other topics that contribute to the goal of effective cyber situational awareness.
