The Auckland Centre for Financial Research strives for excellence in empirical finance and applied financial econometric research. Its members publish in leading finance journals, and present at top finance conferences around the globe. The Centre currently has 8 internal members, 6 external members, 3 postdocs and 6 PhD students.

The Centre further hosts numerous international research visitors. As a postdoc at the Centre you will contribute to the research profile of the Centre and its reputation for research excellence. The Auckland Centre for Financial research hosts the Auckland Finance Meeting - a conference that attracts leading speakers from around the world.

It is envisaged that the successful applicant will make significant contributions to joint projects with members of the centre. In addition, it is expected that the applicant will bring forth other research projects and apply for research funding outside the university. The applicant may be involved in data collection, modelling, reviewing literature, and the writing of academic articles that are to be submitted to leading finance journals.
