We are looking for highly motivated and creative candidates with a Ph. D. in quantitative genetics, bioinformatics, statistics or plant breeding with a strong interest in the quantitative analysis of modern genomic data. Practical experience in the quantitative analysis of genetic and phenotypic data with statistical software such as R is required. The position is funded by the BARSELECT project, with involves several academic partners and breeding companies. For this reason, good skills in team work, self-organization and project coordination are required.
In Hohenheim, there is a critical mass of well-connected research groups in plant and animal breeding that work on current topics in genetics and breeding research. The position is available immediately and is funded for three years and paid according to the E13 TV-L government salary scale, which depends on age, marital status and previous experience.
