Nine scholarship schemes to support aspiring international Masters and PhD students in 2010 have been made available by QS, the London based team behind www.topgradschool.com and the QS World Grad School Tour, the world’s largest series of graduate fairs.
The scholarships, offered by QS and in association with New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts Asia, IE, EMLYON and Golden Key International, will help support top international students pursuing Masters and PhD programs at their chosen universities. The QS Scholarship for Academic Excellence is the oldest of the nine schemes and this year’s winner, Anna Pak from Germany, will take up her scholarship at Kings College London this October.
New for 2010, QS has also launched the QS Scholarship for Central and Eastern European Women worth € 2,000 and available to women who attend the QS World Grad School Tour in Central/Eastern Europe.
The total scholarship fund available in 2010 is US$150,000 and to be eligible one of the conditions is that candidates attend one of the QS World Grad School Tour events.
Peter MacDonald, Director of the QS World Grad School Tour says QS believes that access to international Masters and PhD programs should be available to the most talented and motivated students, irrespective of their financial circumstances. “These scholarship schemes allow students a further important opportunity to apply for funding to support their international study program. Our new partnerships with top schools and universities will allow QS World Grad School Tour attendees even greater access to financial support."
Prospective graduate students will have the opportunity to gain unique information on international scholarships and Masters and PhD programs directly at any QS World Grad School Tour event.
The QS World Grad School Tour will visit Bucharest on Monday 12 October 2009. The event will take place at the Intercontinental Hotel (4 Nicolae Balcescu Bldv) from 16h00 to 20h00.
The entrance to the QS World Grad School Tour as well as to the seminars is free.
