Applications are invited for research assistant positions at the Innovation Center Computer Assisted Surgery at Leipzig University in the context of the research group Digital Patient Model. The objective of the research of the group is to define an information structure for a digital patient and decision model as basis for developing decision support methods to assists surgeons in therapy planning.
The Innovation Center for Computer-assisted surgery was founded in March 2005 as a central facility at the University of Leipzig. Today, ICCAS is an internationally competitive research center for computer-assisted surgery and the core of a medicine technology cluster in Saxony / Leipzig with a number of successful external fundings, start-ups, contentwise and structural pulses at the University of Leipzig and neighboring universities.
Your Future Research
Your research will focus on topics in one or more of the following areas:
- Textmining and Knowledge management
- Decision support systems
- Data and process modelling
- Visualization of data
in a challenging and unique research environment. The research is highly application oriented, targeting at bringing developed methods and concepts into clinical practice. Various clinics of the medical faculty are supporting the group with their clinical expertise.
