The Marie Curie Fellowships offers The ATCoMe PhD Fellowships in Computational Mechanics for the year 2010/11 in Spain.
8 PhD positions are currently available in the ATCoMe project:

2. RSP1-UPC High-order DG computations for challenging wave problems of industrial interest. Barcelona, Spain (UPC, LaCaN)

4. RSP2-UPC High-order DG computations for incompressible flow. Barcelona, Spain (UPC, LaCaN)
5. RSP3-IST Solid mechanics. Lisbon, Portugal (IST)
6. RSP4-TUM Fluid-structure interaction. München, Germany (TUM, LNM)
7. RSP5-SU Fast transient dynamics. Swansea, UK (SU, C2EC)
8. RSP6-ECN Damage and fracture mechanics. Nantes, France (ECN, GeM institute)
Fellowship Details:
Early Stage Researchers funded under the Marie Curie Initial Training Networks scheme typically receive a gross salary of approximately €34,500/year (with small variations depending on the country of the host institution) plus a mobility allowance (about €500/month-€800/month, depending on the candidate family situation) and travel and research benefits.
Who may apply:
Applicants must be, at the time of selection by the host institution, in the first four years (full-time equivalent) of their research careers. This is measured from the date when they obtained the degree which would formally entitle them to embark on a doctorate, either in the country in which the degree was obtained or in the country in which the research training is provided.
Applicants must be nationals of a Member State, Associated country or third country. They must be nationals of a country other than that of the premises of the host organisation where they will carry out their project. Researchers must not have resided or carried out their main activity (work, studies, etc) in the country of their host organisation for more than 12 months in the 3 years immediately prior to the date of selection by the host institution (short stays such as holidays are not taken into account).
