International Masters ProgrammesErasmus Mundus ProgrammesTwo prestigious Erasmus Mundus Programmes involving Lund University have been approved by the European Commission; both within the environmental area. One, MESPOM, at the International Institute for Industrial Environmental Economics; a Master in Environmental Science, Policy and Management, in collaboration with University of Manchester in UK, University of AEGEAN in Greece and Central European University in Hungary. The programme will provide multidisciplinary training in environmental science for students of science, social studies, law and technology. The second Erasmus Mundus Programme is based at the Centre for Geographical Information Systems (GIS) in Lund, Geo-information Science for Environmental Modelling and Mangement. Collaborating universities are: International Institute for Geo-Information Science and Earth Observation (ITC), The Netherlands, University of Southampton, United Kingdom and Uniwersytet Warszawski, Poland. Other ProgrammesLund University offers 19 other International Masters Programmes held in English. In most cases the programme leads to a "Magisterexamen" - the Swedish equivalent of a Masters Degree. It is the responsibility of international students to verify if the degree is also recognized as a degree of Master in their country of origin. Application to these programmes is open to all students with the required academic background. Minimum requirements are a bachelors degree and proficiency in English. Swedish students are also encouraged to participate in these truly international study environments. Admission to and administration of these programmes is handled directly by the responsible department. Turn to the specific department/insitute with any enquiries. Almost all departments at the university offer Magister (Masters) degree training with specific entrance requirements. At some departments this can be performed in English. Please contact the specific department for information should you be interested. No scholarships are available from Lund University. There are no tuition fees. Certain students can apply for scholarships for travel/upkeep from the Swedish Institute in connection with their application to Lund University.
