About the University of Vaasa
The University of Vaasa is a multidisciplinary University offering degrees at all academic levels from Bachelor''s to Doctor''s. It works in close cooperation with its surrounding region of Ostrobothnia and values internationalizatio n in its degrees and research. The teaching and research activities of the University are widely based, their focus being on business studies, administration, technology, languages and culture. The maritime campus presents a modern study environment for 5000 students.
The University functions in four faculties. Flexible opportunities for studying are among the strengths of our academic community. The business studies teaching and research of the University are of high national standard, and the University of Vaasa is the second largest provider of business studies in Finland. Key areas within business studies at our University include the study of financing and financial markets, entrepreneurship, consumer behavior, and internalization of enterprises. The humanities and social sciences have their own strength areas, such as intercultural communication, languages for special purposes, language immersion, and comparative administrative sciences. Master''s Degree Programme in Finance
Master''s Degree Programme in International Business
Master''s Degree Programme in Intercultural Studies in Communication and Administration
Master''s Programme in Telecommunication Engineering
Master''s Programme in Industrial Management
Master''s Degree Program in International Business and Master''s Degree Program in Finance are only aimed at international students. Master''s Program in Telecommunication Engineering, Master''s Program in Industrial Management, and Master''s Degree Program in Intercultural Studies in Communication and Administration are open both for international and Finnish students.
Admission of international master?s degree students is based on the application documents. There are no entrance exams to the master?s degree programmes. Information about admission requirements, application instructions and fees is available at the University website together with application forms. The application period for the master''s degree program is 1 January - 31 March annually.
Tuition Fees
Master''s degree students have no tuition fees. However, master''s degree students are required to pay the Student Union membership fee of 86,60 euros per academic year or 43,30 euros per semester. Membership entitles for student health care and various student discounts.
