Program Overview:
The UNE MBA was designed as a distance program drawing on the fifty year history of excellence in distance education provided by UNE. It aims to provide an excellent grounding in management for students in a flexible delivery mode that allows students to study in a variety of locations and at times that suit their lifestyle.

Students develop the capacity to improve their analytical, critical and strategic thinking skills by undertaking units dealing with management processes, organisational behaviour, strategic management, accounting and finance, information technology and international business. Students are offered twelve majors in a variety of disciplines from international business to educational management.
Students may also undertake research as part of their studies. Units require that students test their theoretical understanding against the reality of the workplace, thus applying and critically evaluating the material as they progress.

Total Units: 12 Units

Core Units: students are required to select a minimum of six and a maximum of nine core (foundation) units a choice of 12.

There are over forty elective (advanced) units to choose from and students may choose to major in more than one discipline or not at all.

Entry Requirements:

Applicants for admission to candidature for the Master of Business Administration must have:
- completed a three-year degree or an equivalent qualification at UNE or another recognised tertiary institution; or
- completed the Graduate Diploma in Management; or
- demonstrated academic or professional standing considered by the Faculty of Economics,

Business and Law to be equivalent to the requirements of the proceeding two points.
In addition, applicants are required to provide evidence of at least three years relevant work experience in a field of employment approved by the Director of the MBA Program.

Commencement Dates: January, May, September trimesters

Completion Time Comments: 1 year or 3 trimesters for full-time, 2 years or 6 trimesters for part-time

Application Deadline: November, March, July for the following trimester.
