ACADEM'14 addresses product design, analysis and manufacturing under an integrated approach by utilizing up-to-date computer-enabled technologies and specialized hardware. The course includes theoretical and lab sessions to illustrate the current state of the art and open research areas in product design, and to guide participants through the development of a product starting from concept to production planning and prototyping. In order to accomplish these goals, the course is divided in three thematic sections: (i) Computer-Aided Design (CAD), (ii) Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE), and (iii) Computer-Aided Manufacturing (CAM).

Target group
The program is designed for senior undergraduate and graduate students (already enrolled in a Masters/Ph.D. program) in the fields of product design, engineering, architecture and computer science as well. Young professionals that wish to specialize or update their knowledge in detail product designing are also welcome.
