Explore the 12 principles of animation through a series of practical exercises using cut-out and stop-motion animation.You will learn the fundamentals of this complex subject including how to animate simple objects, story development and character design. You will have the opportunity to develop your own ideas as well as working in groups to give you a greater understanding of how an animation team works together and develop a film brief including storyboarding and scriptwriting. During the final week you will produce a short film of your ideas and work through a variety of post-production techniques to get your animated film ready for screening.
Target group
AUB Summer Courses are open to all those aged 17 or over at the time of taking the course. Our summer courses are attended by school leavers, university students and creative professionals wishing to learn new creative skills, enhance their current studies or change careers.

You will receive an official AUB Certificate of Attendance on the completion of your course which you may use to show evidence of the skills you have learnt during the course.

GBP 1550: Please note our course fee includes all materials used within the course, teaching costs, plus admission fees for any day trips or study excursions that take place as part of your course. GBP 450: For those who require it, accommodation is available to Summer students in our Halls of Residence at 150.00 per week.
