Augsburg Summer Program on European and International Economic Law is offered by the Faculty of Law of the University of Augsburg. The Augsburg Summer Program provides insight into economic and business law necessary to meet the increasing requirements of companies and law firms in this field. The Program focuses on such issues as contract law, company law and banking law as well as on private international law, transnational litigation and international arbitration. The legal issues are considered from international, European and German perspective. The Program's participants have also an opportunity to attend a German language course.rnrnFurther, the participants of the Summer Program are welcome to attend the series of "Talks of Practitioners." The talks are held by distinguished lawyers of international law firms, legal advisers of international firms and other experts who focus on selected problems of international business law.rnrnAll of the lectures and talks are held in English. The lectures are given by distinguished European (e.g. German, French, Italian) and American professors as well as by practicing lawyers.rn

Target group
The Summer Program aims at law or law and economic master's students, students with work experience or graduates who wish to advance their knowledge of European and international economic law. The Program provides an introductory course to law and economics, however, legal background is crucial for successful participation.
