The International Summer University organised by Vienna University of Technology offers a high quality academic programme focusing on technology, architecture, business and culture complemented with German language courses. Students will have the possibility to learn from, communicate and network with internationally renowned academics and scientists as well as with students from diverse international backgrounds.

Target group
"Austrian Architectural Culture " is designed for international students with backgrounds in engineering, art and design, business or architecture. Courses are offered at bachelor level. Teaching language is English.
Course aim
You will be introduced into a new school of thinking under Austrian architects and researchers under weekly changing focus on
- Social and Cultural Specifics in Viennese Architecture 1850-1950
- Sustainable Architectural Design Made in Austria
- Building in a Historical Context within Austria
- Theoretical lectures and innovative presentations
- Excursions to historical buildings and current building sites
- Visits to architectural offices, companies and research institutions
- Weekly public evening lectures by internationally acclaimed experts

Participants will receive a certificate of participation at the end of the summer school and all necessary documentation to validate the course at your home university.

EUR 1800
Included costs: registration fee, tuition fee, participation fee and “Vienna Life Package” (welcome package, social programme, single or double room in a student hostel, public transport, health insurance, simcard, internet access at the university and administrative support during the visa process).
