Initially, you will gain a general overview of the topic of biodiversity. In order to understand biodiversity in its evolutionary context as well as its current loss, keynote lectures will shed light on biological as well as socio-economic aspects of the topic. Subsequently, you will learn about current methods in biodiversity-related research and participate in hands-on, laboratory-based classes. The final part of the program deepens the contents of the classes and closes with a student-led symposium. Additionally, all Summer Schools students will take part in a German taster course.
