The Academy of Economic Studies through its Student Union invites you to take part at the 3rd edition of Bucharest Summer University which takes place between 6 and 26 august 2007.
Those isues are debated with specialists from International Monetary Fund, World Bank and profesors from University of Southern Denmark – Odense (www.sdu.dk) , Indiana University Southeast – Louisville (www.ius.edu)
Bucharest Summer University is an international summer school of The Academy of Economic Studies organized by its Student Union.
BSU focuses on economical issues promoting academic values which reunite students from all over the world.
Vision :
A global economy based on knowledge through the topic that is introduced and aboarded.
Mission:
The development of the participants´ perspectives through dialogue and debates with specialists in the academic field and not least the business field.
Objective:
- the advancement of the participants´ capability to aproach the investition atmosphere through the aspect of globalization
- participants to be able to identify principal indicators in the field of (analiza????) and aplication in plan of investition
- to report the Romanian economic atmosphere at the real global investitions
- the development of inter-racial relationships through the promotion of the common universitary values
- (particularizarea???) of the investition atmosphere according to the European,American,and Asian model

Number of participants: 70 students
Location: Romania, Bucharest, Moxa Campus
Academic Stucture: 1st week orientated towards investments at microeconomical level
2nd week orientated towards investments at macroeconomical level
3rd week orientated towards case studies, workshops and conferences
Historical:
The two previous focused their attention on the following themes “Integrating economic diversity in Europe” and “Preparing the S.M.E’s for a knowledge -based economy”.
These themes where discussed in multiple modules each having professors both from Romania and foreign universities, such as: Mihai Tanasescu-former minister of finance in Romania, Varujan Vosganian – President of Finance, Budget, Stock Exchange and Banking activity Commission, Codrut Seres- Minister of Economy and Commerce, Mircea Geoana – President of Foreign Affairs Commission, Cristian Busu – councillor to the Prime Minister of Romania on Evaluation and analysis of Structural Programs, Prof. PhD Lester Lloyd Reason teacher Ashcroft International Business School in Cambridge United Kingdom.
