Are you interested in the heart and want to learn more about the heart and hot topics in heart research? The main topics of this course are cardiac electrophysiology and cardiovascular biology. Covered subjects include pathogenesis and treatment of ischemic heart disease, the role of immune system, tissue engineering, cardiomyocyte biology, calcium signalling in the heart, cardiac stem cells, heart rhythm disturbances and cellular electrophysiology.
The course will provide the students with a mixture of lectures from a clinical perspective and lectures from a preclinical research perspective. This means the course is aimed at medicine students with an interest in research as well as biomedical science students keen to learn more about clinical practice in cardiology.
