The Columbia Summer Program has been in existence for almost 50 years, and is a cooperation between Columbia University Law School, Leiden University Law School and the University of Amsterdam Law School. Since 1963 the program is held alternately in Leiden and in Amsterdam.

The program is entirely taught by Columbia professors, and is designed to provide a general introduction to the American legal system for lawyers and other (legal) professionals, or (graduate) students interested in the program. Besides the excellent educational aspects, the Columbia Summer Program is also known for its exceptional fine atmosphere amongst participants and professors from Columbia University.

EUR 2950[Convert to USD]FeeThe fee for 2012 is 3800 ( 2950 for students), covering tuition, accommodation, study materials for the courses and all administrative expenses, including those of the extra curricular activities, lunches and farewell diner. For applications sent in before May 1, an "early-bird" discount applies of 250.MealsOn days on which classes are given, all participants are expected to attend the lunches organized by the Program. The restaurant location will be announced in the program materials. Breakfast and evening meals will not be provided. As a rule, friends or relatives cannot be admitted to the lunches.
