This course program will cover two of the most relevant and important methods of computational (numerical) engineering: computational structural mechanics and computational fluid mechanics. By first studying the basic principles and application of computational aided engineering (CAE) for the design of machines and machine parts (e.g. automobiles), the students will then be introduced to quality control and fault analysis. A module of German language for beginners is part of the programme as well as study visits to companies and institutions.
