The focus of the course is on understanding, evaluating and applying various approaches and methodologies to value a business or a firm, primarily for investment purpose. The course builds on the corporate finance concepts and attempts to establish a link between the conceptual framework for valuation and the practice of business valuation.

In the process, the students will learn the critical aspects of applying the cash flow based and market based valuation techniques along with their contextual strengths and weaknesses. The insights will be built using the financial statements as well as identifying other sources of information. Course offered by Department of Economics.

Course aim
The course aims at introducing various valuation approaches and methodologies being used by practitioners. The course would expose the students to concepts surrounding value, valuation, and value creation.

Course fee
EUR 0: Students on a bilateral exchange programme do not have to pay. Freemovers are obliged to pay participation fees while tuition fees only apply to freemovers from countries outside the EU/EEA/Switzerland.
