- Development of intercultural awareness; - Presentation of intercultural theories; - The study of stereotypes and their origins; - The influence of intercultural references and their role in interpersonal relations; - Cultural influences in different professional areas: Advertising Cinema Internet; - A comparison of national tendencies in the following areas : Interpretation of information Communication styles Normative values Perception of hierarchy; - The course is designed in an interactive mode and will present both theoretical and practical input. In the class room, concepts and cases relating to the various topics will be presented and discussed.

Course aim
The aim of this course is to heighten awareness of communication difficulties caused by cultural diversity. We will look at some of the major obstacles to communication in a multicultural situation and propose possible solutions.
