The 2013 edition of the LRC Internationalisation and Localisation Summer School will focus on current practices and future trends in modern localisation. The summer school workshops will aim to provide participants with an overview of a number of important aspects in localisation; lesser-resourced languages, Open Source and Open Community localisation and the importance of terminology management in Localisation.
They will also provide attendees with an update on the latest developments in some of the industry's leading localisation tools and provide in depth demonstrations of their uses and functionality.Presenters include: Mark Childress, SAP; Kevin Scannell, Saint Louis University; Jeff Beatty, Mozilla.In addition the Summer School will feature a full day excursion to the west of Ireland so that attendees can combine their learning with some sightseeing, socialising and light networking. http://www.localisation.ie/resources/courses/summerschools/2013/index.htm

This year's Summer School will cover a variety of topics and should be of interest to participants from both industry and academia alike. As always, participants should be computer proficient and willing to learn.While not a prerequisite we encourage all participants to bring their own laptops to take part in hands-on exercises.
