Our intensive language training programme %BBDeutsch in Weimar%AB is an effective method to learn German as a foreign language in groups of up to 15 participants from all over the world. The programme is the perfect way to prepare for a degree programme or internship in Germany. Regardless of whether you are a beginner, advanced student or practically an expert. Our four-week course is perfect to learn or improve your German language skills.Special featureYou won't learn German just in the classroom! For example, you can practice your German in a playful atmosphere and learn about cusine at the Cooks%B4 Workshop. You can improve your listening comprehension and gain new insights into German culture with the German films. And you can learn even more about the German culture at the weekly international gaming night. Or pratice your conversion skills during an excursion to neighbouring towns or a picnic in the park.And that's not even the half of it! Learn German and explore the cultural history of Germany that Weimar has to offer. In collaboration with the Klassik Stiftung Weimar, we are introducing a new supplementary feature: the museum project. This will give you the opportunity to practice your language skills on site in one of the Klassik Stiftung Weimar's museums, for example the art collection of the castle, the Park Cave or the Roman House. Join us on this journey of discovery, and improve your German and your cultural knowledge at the same time! There are no prerequisites for participation. You can start your first German language course without any knowledge or you can perfect your German language skills.

Target group
Our intensive German courses are designed for international students and graduates with the minimum age of 18 who seek an authentic experience and real immersion into the German culture and language. Most participants who join the course are 20 to 30 years of age and come from all parts of the world. But everybody is welcome, regardless of age.There are no prerequisites for participation. You can start your first German language course without any knowledge or you can perfect your German language skills.Courses are offered on all levels - provided that there are enough participants who have the language skills required for the respective level.When you register you will be asked to rate your language skills according to the Common European Framework of Reference. The language test provided with our online registration will support you.
Course aim
The goal of our courses is to help you improve your listening, reading, writing and speaking skills, learn, practice and expand your vocabulary and knowledge of grammar and phonetics. The courses strongly emphasise active communication. The instructors will also give presentations about Germany, its people and culture. Depending on language levels and interest, you will also be able to visit neighbouring towns, for example Erfurt and Jena. And of course we want to hear about your personal goals and interests for the course.
Credits
6.0 ECTS creditsAfter successful completion of the language course you will receive a certificate of participation. It will show the course title, the date and duration of the course, the number of contact hours as well as the main contents and topics.Participants earn:- 6 credit points (ECTS) after completion of the four-week course (100 h).It is necessary to attend at least 80% of the course lessons to receive credit points.If you do an extra work for example a presentation, a paper, etc. you can get a grade. Please talk to your teacher at the beginning of the course.
