Digital storytelling is the practice of using computer-based tools to create stories. It allows students to jointly create and share their stories and experiences outside the traditional written form, using their imagination, creativity and cultural experiences. The current trend is to engage students in digital story making/telling activities that will stimulate them to become digital story tellers, thus helping them acquire multidisciplinary skills. The objective of this course is to familiarize the participants on how to use digital storytelling techniques in classroom. The course will provide an in-depth analysis of digital storytelling, as well as hands-on experiences with the tools that are commonly used in creating digital stories, giving practical examples and analyzing case studies. Under this scope, the participants will be able to create their own stories incorporating standalone tools and web applications into their everyday activities and, at the same time, encouraging students to become digital story creators too.No programming skills are required.
