Curriculum Studies is internationally a very vibrant field of educational sciences at the moment. Curriculum is defined in the present form not only as an organizational but also as an intellectual centerpiece of education at all levels of schooling.

Target group
The course is open to people with MA level degrees who plan to start PhD studies, doctoral and post-doctoral students of curriculum, educational, social or cultural studies.

Course aim
After the course, the student will be more familiar with the history and current state of curriculum studies and will be able to understand and read different curricula in their organizational and intellectual frameworks: what kind of aesthetic, economic, ethical, historical, philosophical, political, psychological, sociological and theological discussions and debates create the framework for curriculum theory and history, education policy and practice in different national contexts.
