This fine arts course explores drawing as a permanently developing form of contemporary art practice. The course will take as its starting point divergent approaches to drawing. In the form of workshops, led by internationally acclaimed artists, a variety of approaches to drawing will be explored, and assumptions about the uses and practice of drawing will be challenged.
The course thus offers students the opportunity to explore drawings' potential; not just as an aesthetically driven activity, but also as a tool for communicating theoretical concepts and personal ideas. The course will offer possibilities to work with a number of practitioners representing a range of artistic practices.

Course aim
Students will encounter very diverse approaches to the making of drawings, to the philosophy of drawing, and to the uses and purposes of drawing. This might help them to re-evaluate the potential of drawing in their own art practice.
